A hat-trick from Daizen Maeda ensured safe passage to the national stadium for the club, as Kyogo Furuhashi rounded the scoring in what was a frantic game that produced six goals. Daniel MacKay and Tete Yengi equalised twice respectively for their side, as the Premiership's bottom side put up a good showing in Glasgow.

Ryan highlighted strong performances from the likes of Nicolas Kuhn and Tomoki Iwata, as well as decent cameos from Daniel Kelly and James Forrest coming off of the bench alongside goalscorer Kyogo.
