Brendan Rodgers has been spotted chatting to an old employee in the shape of Kieran Tierney at a Celtic FC Foundation charity event.
Shared on the charity's Instagram page, the Celtic manager and former Celtic player have been shown seemingly locked in conversation at the charity's Annual Gala Dinner event in London – setting Celtic fans' tongues wagging in the process.
"Bring him home" is the most common reply beneath the original post, with various such as "up the road, Kieran" and suggestions Rodgers is giving Tierney the same pitch Callum McGregor gave the Celtic manager before his own return to Glasgow's east end.
Tierney, of course, departed Parkhead in the summer of 2019 when he became Scottish football's most lucrative export in signing for English Premier League giants Arsenal for a reported £25million.
A dream start was marred by injury, resulting in KT, as he once affectionately known by the Paradise faithful, dropping down the pecking order. Tierney spent time on loan at Real Sociedad last season, before suffering another serious injury while playing for Scotland at EURO 24.
With Greg Taylor and loanee Alex Valle sharing Tierney's familiar left-sided full-back position at the moment, Celtic are currently well-served in that area of the pitch – but that hasn't stopped fans sharing their views.
