Chris Sutton actually credited Lawrence Shankland and his Heart of Midlothian cohorts attempts to make Arne Engels fluff his lines from the penalty spot. 

Engels, Celtic's £11million summer signing who has been deemed as a replacement for Matt O'Riley, didn't let Shankland's taunts get to him as he put his team 1-0 up in the Scottish Premiership clash.

Luke McCowan rounded off the scoring minutes from full-time to maintain Celtic's 100 per-cent record and keep them at the top of the league table. 

During the match, Celtic TV captured an intriguing moment featuring the Hearts captain shouting, "big pressure," while another individual, thought to be Craig Halkett, responded with a skeptical "£10m? yeah, right" as Engels waited to take his kick from 12-yards to get up and running for his new club.

Shankland has received criticism for his actions, but Sutton saw the funny side of the mind games.

Speaking on the 'It's All Kicking Off' podcast, the Celtic hero said: "My moment of the weekend. Celtic won at the weekend and their first goal scorer was Arne Engels from the penalty spot.

"I love the sort of pettiness over in football.

"Engels - the big new signing for Celtic for £10million. As he is getting ready to take the penalty Shankland is screaming at Engels '£10million, £10m, big pressure, high right (sic) and all that'.

"Engels just strolls up and sends Craig Gordon the wrong way. Fair play to him. I wonder if he understood Scottish first and foremost.

"I sort of quite like what Lawrence Shankland was doing anyway. But it didn't phase Engels at all."
