Chris Sutton claims Philippe Clement's response to Brendan Rodgers was "remarkably petty" as he weighed in on the Celtic vs Rangers preview fallout.
The Celtic hero suggested "Glasgow is getting to Big Phil" as he suggested the verbal exchange in the media between Clement and Rodgers was a storm in a teacup.
Rodgers had stated his Celtic side would "have fun" against Rangers as he looked ahead to the derby clash at Parkhead this weekend.
He said: “Eighty percent of it now is mental. Physically they are in a really good place. This stage it’s all about mentality. You can see mentally we are in a really good place.
“Take nothing for granted, keep our composure, we have a lot of work to do in the week, get our plan ready. And then next Saturday we can have a bit of fun.”
Clement was not impressed with the remarks as he blasted back: "I heard yesterday that they're going to have fun. So, we can have fun also."

Wading into the disagreement on the It's All Kicking Off podcast, Sutton commented: "It is. It's lovely and petty.
"I think Glasgow is getting to Big Phil, as it gets to everybody who plays or works in the city. It's a goldfish bowl. It's tense, but he also made a couple of reasonable points.
"He said they were behind when they came in by seven points and now it's three, but they did have it in their hands. Rangers lost to Ross County and dropped points to Dundee.
"What was remarkably petty is that Philippe Clement said it was disrespectful towards his team and that he would never say that about an opponent - he then went out and did the interview with Sky and said that they were also going to have fun.
"You couldn't quite make it up. It just adds a bit more spice to a game that doesn't need any more spice."
