Celtic have been handed a "reduced allocation" for their Scottish Premiership fixture against Dundee.

The Parkhead club have been given 3,323 tickets for away supporters for this weekend's match.

That's around 400 tickets fewer than the club were able to sell for the fixture between the clubs on December 26 last year.

In the last meeting at Dens Park, Celtic had an away allocation of 3,737.

A Celtic FC Ticket update read: "Tickets for the #cinchpremiership away fixture vs. Dundee on Sunday, April 28 are now on sale to eligible Season Ticket holders.

"The Club received a reduced allocation of 3,323 tickets for this match."

The reason for the lesser ticket allocation is currently unclear.

Brendan Rodgers' side travel to Dundee on Sunday in their first post-split Scottish Premiership fixture.

The Parkhead club holds a three-point lead over Rangers heading into the final five league fixtures this season.

Celtic's trip to Dens Park will kick-off shortly after the conclusion of Rangers' first post-split fixture away to St Mirren in the early kick-off on Sunday.

But Rodgers has warned his players to be ruthless in the title race as he branded results from elsewhere "irrelevant".

The Celtic boss said:  "Our focus has always been on ourselves and I made that point to the players, it's irrespective of what happens or what other results, the way it goes for other teams.

"We can only do our work because you can't soften up, especially at this time, just because another team might have drawn or lost or whatever because that's irrelevant.

"You have to perform and get the result because if you come off it against teams that are motivated and organised then they can give you a problem.

"For us, we have to continually focus on our own performance irrespective of what happens elsewhere because we have to create our story, and for that we have to work at it and hopefully that will be the storyline come the end of the season."
