Freddie Ljungberg struggled to make much of an impact on the field during his short spell at Celtic in 2011.
The Arsenal invincible played just eight times for the Parkhead, failing to score or provide an assist during his six months in Glasgow.
However, it was off the pitch where the former Sweden international left an impression on his team-mates.
Charlie Mulgrew, who played with Ljungberg at the Hoops, explained how the Celtic kitman was taken aback by a particular request from the Gunners hero.
"He was really high maintenance, Freddie Ljungberg," Mulgrew said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard. "I spoke to the kitman (at Celtic) and the Arsenal kitman actually phoned him and said, 'You do not know what you’re getting yourself in for here? Freddie Ljungberg is so high maintenance'.
"Within a couple of days he asked for a couple of flip flops that don’t get wet… there you go.
"Obviously all flip flops are water-proof but he wanted ones that were ultra-waterproof.
"I don’t know, maybe sealed, with Vaseline over the top of them. That’s what he asked for.
"You should have seen the amount of stuff he had at his place [in the dressing room]."
