Marco Tilio "didn't have much fun" at Celtic during the first half of the season.

That is according to Melbourne City boss Aurelio Vidmar who made claim after the winger returned to the club on a six-month loan deal.

Tilio joined the Hoops in the summer for £1.5million from A-League club but has struggled to make an impact at Parkhead, only playing twice.

"It's really exciting for us and for Tills as well, because he hasn't had much fun over the past six months since he moved to Celtic," he said.

"He wants to get back and start playing again. Get back to the form that he was in before he left the club."

Meanwhile, Chris Sutton insists Celtic are "crying out" for a left-back due to Greg Taylor being out injured.

The Scotland international sustained a knock against Buckie Thistle which led to Alexandro Bernabei starting the recent victory over Ross County.

Celtic have been linked with a move for PSG's Layvin Kurzawa as a potential option in defence and Sutton feels the position should be a prioity for the Hoops.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I think Celtic supporters will be underwhelmed by the window so far based off Brendan Rodgers in the first half of the season calling for greater quality.

"They have brought Nicolas Kühn in who Brendan insists is better quality than they have and then there has been this call for another striker coming in which is always going to be difficult.

"As far as I can see Kyogo Furuhashi is always going to start but [Adam] Idah coming in on loan, it looks like, would be a good move after was on the fringes at Norwich City.

"I think the fact that they have not done a great deal of business, he will probably feel that the squad is a little short 

"I will be surprised if Celtic don’t bring in another left-back.

“They have been crying out for a left-back for a long, long time. I know Greg Taylor has done okay, but he is injured."
