Celtic hero Scott Brown has emerged as the bookies favourite to become the new St Johnstone manager.
The former Hoops captain is currently 5/2 to land the role at McDiarmid Park, according to Betting sites.
Brown was sacked as Fleetwood Town boss in September after just over a year in charge and now could potentially be making a return to the dugout.
Naomi Rose, a spokesperson for Betting Sites, commented: “Should Scott Brown become the new sorcerer at St Johnstone, he’s in for a witch’s brew of challenges.
"But rest assured, he’s known to cast a spell of 100 per cent effort from his players – a trick and a treat in equal measure.”

Meanwhile, Neil Lennon feels Callum McGregor is wasted in his more defensive position at Parkhead.
The Scotland international has moved further back in recent years, particularly since becoming captain.
And Lennon reckons the 30-year-old can offer more further up the park.
He told PLZ Soccer: "You have got Bernardo, Turnbull, you can maybe look at Iwata as a holding one and maybe push McGregor further forward.
“Sometimes I think he is a little wasted there. Give him a bit more forward impetus.”
