Brendan Rodgers has sent Phillipe Clement an "expectation" message ahead of his first game in charge of Rangers.

The Belgian faces Hibernian at Ibrox tomorrow and the Celtic boss was keen to get across the pressure that is involved with managing in Glasgow.

Rodgers reckons that Clement will assess the level of his squad in time. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Philippe has obviously gone in there and will understand very quickly the expectation, stress and pressure that comes with managing Celtic or Rangers.

"Any manager going into a job, you give your best; that is all you can do. He will find out the level of his squad in time and where he is at within the club."

Rodgers also weighed in on the ticket dispute surrounding his side's trip to Tynecastle to face Hearts.

In recent seasons the Edinburgh outfit have cut tickets for away supporters, barring Hibernian who still receive the whole Roseburn Stand for derby fixtures.

As a result Celtic have been handed just 576 tickets for this weekend's Premiership fixture and Brendan Rodgers has spoken of his disappointment in the allocation in the build up.

He said: "When you go away it is always good to have a group of your supporters to give you that backing but they are not there.

"We cannot use that as an excuse, we have shown already with no supporters that we can get big results so we will be very much together and the 500 hundred-odd supporters that are there, hopefully, we can give them a good day.

"Every club has got every right to issue, at this moment in time, what they want to give to away supporters but until something is standardised but hopefully we can standardise a percentage for away supporters and that kind of allows all the supporters of all the teams to go and watch their teams.

"Hopefully the federation can standardise a number and then we all know where we stand."
