Jurgen Klinsmann revealed injured Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu assured him he will be fit to play for South Korea in their upcoming games despite suffering from a calf knock that was expected to keep him out for another month.
And Hoops colleague Yang Hyun-jun could be set to win his first cap for his country as they prepare for friendlies at the start of next month.
The Hoops striker suffered an injury setback in a pre-season friendly against Athletic Bilbao at the start of the month and it was reported he would be missing for six weeks.
However, he's surprisingly been named for South Korea's upcoming double-header of friendlies in the UK when they play Wales in Cardiff and Saudi Arabia in Newcastle.
And former Germany boss Klinsmann revealed Oh declared himself fit for the encounters.
He said: "Oh Hyeon-gyu is on the list because he indicated to me he will be fit enough to play in both of the games."
Yang is also included in the squad and will be hoping to win his first cap. He was previously in their squad for a friendly against Iceland last year but has yet to play.
Parkhead teammate, Kwon Hyeok-kyu, was selected for South Korea's Under 22 squad for their triple-header of games against Qatar, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar.
