Ange Postecoglou has been hailed as possibly one of the best hires in world football after guiding Celtic to their biggest ever away win in the Scottish Premiership against Dundee United.
The 9-0 humiliation of Jack Ross's side completed a record-breaking afternoon at Tannadice as the Hoops secured a club-record away victory in their 134-year history.
Postecoglou’s side are now on a 37-game unbeaten run and currently lead the top-flight title race ahead of this weekend’s Glasgow Derby against Rangers at Celtic Park.
Jordan Gardner, a European football executive, took to social media to lavish praise on the Aussie and the transformation he’s made at Celtic since his arrival last summer.
He said: “I'm not sure there's been a better coaching hire recently in global football than Ange Postecoglou at Celtic.”
Ramon Vega, who spent one season with Celtic between 2000-01, believes bringing the capture of Postecoglou from Yokohama F Marinos was a shrewd piece of business and was exactly what the Hoops needed.
“This Ange Postecoglou manager at Celtic is for sure one of the best things the club has done for a long while”, Vega said on Twitter.
