Everything that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said to TNT Sports after their 3-1 Champions League win over RB Leipzig at Parkhead

Could you ask for any more from your team this evening?

No, it was a brilliant performance and result against a top, top team. I thought everything was really good about our game. I thought we were exciting going forward similar to what we showed against Slovan Bratislava. I thought we had the defensive discipline and the hunger in the game like did against Atalanta. We were able to press a bit more with the energy of the crowd. I thought we started the game very well in the first 20 minutes and then we conceded a goal which we were disappointed with as it rocked us a little bit. Once we got the flow we were great. This is against a team who have only conceded five goals all season so for us to score three tonight shows the level we are at. It was a brilliant performance and a great evening for Celtic and their supporters and I am pretty sure they would have enjoyed that.

How pleased were you with the response after you went a goal down to come back and stabilise the way you did?

It is the mark of a team that is maturing. It is going to happen with the top players that you are playing against. We got lost a little bit in the corner and we got a bit loose and edgy for 10 minutes. We regained our composure and got the ball moving again and from that moment we were outstanding.

Your players fed off the intensity of the crowd and it felt like you didn't want half-time to come the way the players were performing, didn't you?

The word that you mentioned there is intensity. It is a great tribute to the players and the way they played. They had a big game on Saturday and to bring that energy to this game, I tip my hat to them. To bring that hunger and mentality was excellent. We showed charisma on the ball and had that confidence and picked up loads of little spaces in between them and played right through them. All round it was very good.

That leaves you with seven points from four games. What position are you in now with four games to go?

Clearly, we are in a very good position. If you think after the Borussia Dortmund game, to take four points from the Atalanta and RB Leipzig games tells you the ability and honesty of the players. Position wise it puts us in a really good position with four games to go. We want to continue building our mentality step-by-step at this level and we will look forward to the Club Brugge when that comes.
