Everything that Brendan Rodgers said to BBC Radio Scotland after Celtic's 2-0 Scottish Premiership win over Dundee...

What were your overall thoughts on that game given the amount of changes you made?

I think the changes we made and the chances we created were good. Tony (Docherty) sets his team up very well. They were defensively strong, disciplined and organised. They gave everything and had we scored the two big chances we had earlier on in the game it would be a totally different match from that aspect. When you don't get those goals it gives the opposition a little bit of oxygen. We just needed to keep doing what we were doing as we created very good chances. Their keeper made some good saves and their defenders made some very good blocks. It was about persisting in the game and the players did that very well. So, overall, it was a really good win for us.

For the players who are maybe not getting minutes and then given the opportunity, do you expect them to turn up and be at their maximum or do you appreciate it is hard to get going right away?

They won't be in rhythm but I want them to get into the games as quickly as they can. Everybody knows the structure but I understand in that respect that it can be a challenge. However, I was really pleased that Tony Ralston came in and got minutes. He's been a real loyal player for us, Cameron Carter-Vickers also got some game time which was great. We are not training so intensely so he has to get game minutes. Greg Taylor had also been out for a while. Luis Palma and Yang who aren't featuring a great deal but have an important role for us. Their role tonight was to work hard, create opportunities and then allow us to make changes to affect the game and we were allowed to do that.

Alistair Johnston comes on and scores the opening goal after you made him captain on Sunday. He seems to have such an influence on your squad, doesn't he?

Yes. He is a very important player for us. He's got the feeling of scoring goals now and he's hungry. He's top class and he is a real leader within this team. He Is very strong defensively. He is physically good and technically strong and tactically he understands the game. He is a tough boy mentally. He has been great and he has done fantastic for us. It was a really good goal Alistair scored as he is on the move when the ball comes across and he finishes it well.

Aberdeen beat Rangers tonight. What's your view of where you are now given that you are nine points ahead of Rangers?

My only focus is on ourselves. I only look at us and our performance levels. As we go through the season we have made a brilliant start domestically. We should have won here against Aberdeen but we went a bit slack. We will be better and learn from that. I am really pleased with where we are at. The squad, the spirit, everything is really good and our football's been fantastic with lots of improvements to make. It is only 10 games into the season.

There is another big one against Aberdeen coming this weekend. How tough a test will that be?

It was a really good game against them here. For the neutral, it was good to watch but we will be ready for that. We enjoy and love going to Hampden. We are in a good place and we are getting players back for the weekend as well and that will give us good energy and freshness in the game.
