What did you think of the game?

Yeah, it was great from the very first minute. They put on a show. We had a wee bit of a tough spell in the second half there but we battled through it and got the goal that killed the game.

How key was that fast start and being clinical today?

We needed that. We created plenty of chances early on but we needed a goal to get comfortable in the game and take the game to Dundee United.

Talk us through your goal.

Well, I missed one just before, an absolute sitter so I just tried to get on the end of it. Cal’s ball was a great ball and I saw the goalie coming out so I tried to get my toe on it and get it over him and I think I chested it into the net after that, I’m not too sure.

Did you add spin to make it even better and tap it in on the way down?

I can’t remember to be honest. All I know is that I have a big cut on me knee from after it so I’m delighted with that. Whatever way it goes in, I’m always delighted to get a goal.

That’s eight goals now, is that where you want to be or could you be further ahead?

I always want to score as many goals as I can. I feel like I could have had a few more in the last couple of weeks but once one comes, hopefully more start to follow.

You’re the only man to start every game this season. Is that good for momentum and consistency or do you need a wee break at times?

It’s been great playing every game. Someone told me that the other day and I was pleased to hear it. It’s obviously tough to play game after game but that’s what you want to do as a player and it’s great to play as many as I have.
