Club football returns with a bang to Celtic Park tomorrow.

The Scottish champions take host Motherwell as Brendan Rodgers' side look to extend their lead at the top of the table over Rangers to 11 points for 24 hours at least.

The men in green and white had to rely on a 97th-minute winner from Matt O'Riley in the corresponding fixture at Fir Park back in as Celtic edged a 2-1 win in Lanarkshire after Motherwell had bagged an injury-time equaliser.

The 22-year-old said: "Yeah, that was fun. It’s a new game on Saturday though so I’ll try and put that one behind me. If I do look back to that game then it’s fond memories.

"It was pretty needed. You don’t usually expect to win games when you concede in the 95th minute or whatever it was. It was one of those ones where you think you might get one more chance and we did."

O'Riley is currently riding the crest of a wave as he earned his first full international cap for Denmark this week in a 2-0 defeat to Northern Ireland in Belfast.

It was a proud moment for the player and his family members who were all in attendance at the match.

Rodgers could well be forced to mix things up in terms of team selection for the visit of Stuart Kettlewell's side.

Honduran winger Luis Palma and Canadian full-back Alistair Johnston are expected to arrive back today (Friday) from their respective international duties.

The Northern Irishman may well decide to rotate his starting eleven in order to accommodate the travel issues involved for both players.

Rodgers is set to make a late decision on whether or not to risk playing both players from the start or if the duo will have to be content to feature from the bench.

The 50-year-old said: "We are still waiting on some to come back, so Luis Palma and Ali Johnston won’t be back until Friday but the other guys have come back well, obviously, the guys that have played domestically and for Scotland, fine, and the others, yep, fine. So nothing injury-wise at this moment in time to report."

Celtic will certainly be hoping to pick up from where they left off in their last home fixture when they crushed Aberdeen 6-0.
