Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Lovakovic remains a target for Celtic, according to reports.

The Croatia international - who has made 45 appearances for his country since his debut in 2017 - has been linked with the club this summer, along with a host of other clubs from Europe and further afield.

Turkish journalist Dayum Vitrini claims that Celtic have made a new offer to Zagreb for the stopper, following a bid from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club for the 28-year-old's services.

This surprised many, as it was believed that Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce had secured the goalkeeper - as was reported by renowned transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Livakovic has experience playing in Scotland, as he played twice in the EURO 2020 group stages at Hampden Park. Celtic captain Callum McGregor scored against him in the latter tie, but Livakovic got the last laugh as his side won 3-1 to progress to the next round, where they faced Spain in Copenhagen.

More recently, Livakovic was a standout at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he helped Croatia to third place in the competition, knocking out Daizen Maeda's Japan in the process.

Meanwhile, Celtic unveiled their newest signings to the media yesterday with three press conferences. South Korean duo Hyunjun Yang and Hyeokkyu Kwon - alongside Polish defender Maik Nawrocki - all answered questions from the Scottish media on their respective arrivals to the club.

Nawrocki - who played against Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City in the Europa Conference League in 2021 - highlighted the attraction of playing in big games as a reason to come to Celtic. He said: "I'm looking forward to taking the next step in my career and playing in big games. I think it is a good place to do that.

"I come from the biggest club in Poland (Legia Warsaw), so I had pressure there. It is not about pressure for me but rather excitement at coming to this country."

"Two or three weeks ago, my agent was calling me and said, 'Celtic are interested'. Two weeks ago they called me and said, 'Celtic want you'. I wanted to come here after hearing that."
