It was a case of a job done for Celtic as they triumphed 2-0 in Dingwall.

Goals in added time in each half - by Jota from the penalty spot and Alexandro Bernabei's wonder strike - ensured that Ange Postecoglou's men headed into the Glasgow Derby nine points ahead of city rivals Rangers.

The Australian's side entertain Rangers at Parkhead this weekend knowing that a victory will see the Hoops wrap one hand around the Scottish Premiership trophy.

Japanese midfielder Tomoki Iwata was impressive as he was handed his first start for the Hoops. With compatriot Reo Hatate and Aaron Mooy still nursing themselves back to fitness Postecoglou could well turn to last season's J1 League player of the year for Saturday's crucial encounter.

Greg Taylor limped off with a dead leg but Postecoglou doesn't believe that the knock will be enough to rule him out of the Rangers match. However, the 57-year-old does have an able deputy in Bernabei who may be one of the lesser-played members of the first-team squad but he showed that the fringe players can perform a service when called upon.

It was a wonderful weekend for all connected with Celtic as Postecoglou's team recorded another priceless victory and the Hoops B team also put city rivals Rangers to the sword in a 3-1 win which saw three Light Blues players red-carded.

A double by Ben Quinn and a counter from Adam Brooks was enough to secure all three points after Arron Lyall had opened the scoring from 25 yards for Rangers. However, Lewis Budinauckas, Bailey Rice and Adam Devine were sensationally sent off for the home side as Celtic ran out thoroughly deserved winners in the end.

Finally, Fran Alonso's Celtic women's team kept up their title challenge with another success with a 2-0 win over Partick Thistle. Alonso's side remains eight points behind league leaders Glasgow City ahead of their crunch meeting at Petershill park on Sunday, April 16.
