Club football returns in earnest this week as Celtic head to Dingwall to take on Malky Mackay's struggling Ross County.

Ange Postecoglou may need to have an availability roll call with some of his Celtic players after a mixed bag in terms of the international break.

Reo Hatate, Aaron Mooy, Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda all have fitness issues ahead of the Victoria Park trip on Sunday.

Will this be the game which sees Postecoglou throws Japanese midfielder Tomoki Iwata into the fray for the first time from the start?

Is it time for Korean attacker Oh Hyeon-gyu to be let loose on Scottish defences after he impressed new South Korea coach Jurgen Klinsmann?

Oh was robbed of his first international goal in a 2-1 defeat to Uruguay in midweek after a disputed offside call. However, former German World Cup winner Klinsmann harbours high hopes that the Celtic striker will make a huge impact in the national team moving forward.

Klinsmann said: "I think Oh Hyeon-gyu in particular will be a good player. He’s hungry for goals. We’ll have to see what he looks like in the coming weeks.”

Celtic Way:

The champions-elect will be hoping that they can remain nine points ahead of city rivals Rangers despite the fact that Michael Beale's men will once again kick off their Premiership encounter against Dundee United at Ibrox 24 hours earlier.

Postecoglou's men sport a three-from-three record against the Highlanders this season in both the league and League Cup fixtures having registered 3-1 and 4-1 victories at Dingwall in August and a 2-1 success at Celtic Park in November.

The Hoops are also averaging three goals a game against the Staggies with nine scored and only three conceded.

With nine games to go in the Scottish Premiership season, it's fair to say that Celtic are ticking the games off as the second successive title beckons under Postecoglou.

Meanwhile, VAR may have dominated the headlines since the technology was wheeled out and introduced to Scottish football back in October.

Ahead of the Premiership resumption, we delved into this season's sporting archive to highlight three of the most contentious decisions that have gone against Postecoglou's team thus far.
