Joe Hart: The Celtic number one guessed the right way but could not prevent Mark O'Hara from stroking home the opener from the penalty spot after six minutes. 7
Alistair Johnston: What a time for Celtic's new hero to score his first career goal for the club. The Canadia international just wanted it more at the back post as he smashed a superb header via O'Hara and into the net to give the visitors a vital lead. 7
Cameron Carter-Vickers: He was missing from the centre of the defence the last time the two sides clashed in Paisley. The American was as safe as houses alongside Carl Starfelt and is an unflappable character. 8
Carl Starfelt: Picked up from where he left off in the League Cup final and pulled out a crucial block when he denied Curtis Main from making it 2-0 in the early stages. He was solid as a rock and dealt with the threat from the Saints man well enough. 8
Greg Taylor: Referee David Dickinson eventually penalised the left-back for handball in the box after what took an eternity for VAR to check - but the call was correct. He stuck manfully to the game plan after that and was unfazed by it. 7
Callum McGregor: The skipper was overshadowed by his midfield partner Aaron Mooy but he still showed for the ball at all times and did not go hiding when the game was not going his team's way for spells. He marshalled the troops well and kept focused on the job at hand. 7
Aaron Mooy: The Australia international made a return to his old stomping ground and thought he was going to be presented with a chance to level from the penalty spot but VAR intervened again and ruled that the infringement took place outside the box. He linked the play well in the opening period it was his cross that was diverted into the net by Jota to make it 1-1. It was his quality free kick to the back post that saw Johnston make it 2-1. He helped himself to a hat-trick of assists as he teed up Liel Abada to score to put the game beyond any doubt. 8
Reo Hatate: "I went to Ange Postecoglou and asked ‘where is the area I should improve?' And he told me that in the attacking part of my game, I needed to improve the quality more. That is what I am doing right now, and I think enhancing those qualities is giving me the results and more goals and assists.” The words of the Japanese midfielder who is enjoying a real purple patch. Although in this one he smashed an effort off the top of the crossbar as Celtic chased an equaliser, he played mostly in fits and starts and was replaced by Matt O'Riley on 66 minutes. 6
Jota: The Portuguese winger's passing was wayward at times in the opening 45 minutes but he did sting the palms of Trevor Carson with a rasping shot after a superb flowing move in 27 minutes. He also saw another effort deflected wide of the post. He led the fightback in 55 minutes when he did brilliantly to get an effort away and bundle home the equaliser. He should have made it 3-1 but spurned a great chance when put through one-on-one at an angle. 7
Kyogo Furuhashi: He was a virtual spectator before bursting into life when he was hauled down by Charles Dunne which led to the Saints defender's red card. The striker was forced to feed off scraps for most of the game and failed to scramble Jota's shot into the net as was replaced by Oh Hyeon-gyu soon after. 5
Daizen Maeda: He looked totally uncharacteristically lethargic. It wasn't the wide man's day and nothing he did came off so it was no surprise when he was hooked by his manager at the break. 4
Substitutes
Liel Abada (Maeda 46): The Israeli replaced Maeda at the interval as Postecoglou looked for some fresh impetus and a burst of energy in attack. He made a world of a difference as he scored a fine goal to make it 3-1 and set up O'Riley to make it 4-1 and take his tally to an incredible 12 for the season. 7
Matt O'Riley (Hatate 66): The Danish under-21 international came off the bench and scored his second goal of the campaign to make it 4-1 after excellent play from Abada.
Oh Hyeon-gyu (Kyogo 66): He won the penalty after Alex Gogic pulled his jersey and fired a low spot-kick home for his second Celtic career goal to make it 5-1.
Sead Haksabanovic (Jota 72): Given an 18-minute run out when the points were Parkhead-bound.
Tomoki Iwata (Mooy 74): On to see out the game.
Substitutes not used: Scott Bain, David Turnbull, Yuki Kobayashi, Anthony Ralston.
