Joe Hart: The Celtic number one let people into the secret of his recent shut-out success before the visit to Perth when he said: "We work hard as a team and I think that is pretty evident with our counter-press when we get the ball as far away from our goal as possible and we stay alert when that isn't possible." He was denied a seventh successive clean sheet when he was beaten by Drey Wright's swerving strike on 25 minutes to give the Saints a lifeline but may feel he could have done better to prevent it from hitting the net. 7

Alistair Johnston: He always gets wired in and almost glanced home a header which would have put the visitors in front following an early Aaron Mooy corner. Loves a tackle as some of the Saints players will testify. The Canadian international is getting to grips with the inverted full-back position and just like Greg Taylor is starting to relish it. 8

Cameron Carter-Vickers: He was coolness and calmness personified apart from immediately after the restart when he uncharacteristically sliced a clearance behind his own goal for a corner. Apart from that he is a role model of consistency and unflappable and exudes confidence. 8

Carl Starfelt: The Swede will be bitterly disappointed that his clean sheet run has come to an end but another who defended stoutly and resolutely enough given the tricky underfoot conditions. He does have his moments defensively but it did not detract from another commanding performance where he was certainly dominant in the air. 8

Greg Taylor: Jokingly called himself prolific after bagging his third goal of the season against Livingston in midweek, but the full-back is producing some great stuff and is a strong contender for Scottish player of the year. He rarely wastes possession and has an expert keen eye for a forward pass. He is also a superb attacking outlet for the Hoops. 8

Callum McGregor: Cajoled and rallied his troops all afternoon and goes about his business quietly and effectively. He was always available to give and receive a pass even under pressure on a rutted and bobbly surface that was not conducive to playing free-flowing football. Somehow the skipper managed it on occasion. 8

Reo Hatate: Ange Postecoglou handed the Japanese midfielder his 18th consecutive league start. However, it was one of his quieter outings. It didn't quite seem to come off for him on the day and it was not one for the personal Hatate scrapbook. 6

Aaron Mooy: He was restored to the side in place of Matt O'Riley and threaded a neat pass into Daizen Maeda's path that led to the first goal. The Australian's influence grew stronger from that moment onwards and pulled the strings in midfield. He shunted a fine ball to Jota who raced down the right wing and squared for Kyogo to make it 2-0. He is fast becoming prolific in front of goal as he dinked a thing of beauty following Jota's filthy assist over Remi Matthews to make it 3-1. Another Daddy Cool performance. 9

Celtic Way:

Jota: Not content with setting up Kyogo to make it 2-0 the Portuguese winger produced an audacious clipped pass which released Mooy to score the third. The assist was absolutely exquisite and worth the admission money alone. It was the 21st assist of his Celtic career to date. He also picked up a yellow card for persistent fouling. He crashed another effort off the crossbar after a superb move that started from the back and would have been a goal-of-the-season contender. 8

Kyogo Furuhashi: Goalscorer extraordinaire played a great part in the build-up to the opener when he found compatriot Maeda with a cracking diagonal and then continued on his run to receive the ball from Aaron Mooy before firing across the face of goal which was turned in by the luckless Andrew Considine. The Japanese striker then made it 22 goals for the season when he hammered high into the net midway through the first half for a trademark counter after being set up by Jota. He gave the ball away which led to Drey Wright reducing the arrears as well as cracking another effort over the crossbar. 8

Daizen Maeda: He swapped wings with Jota constantly as the Saints rearguard struggled to cope with Celtic's prowess down the flanks. He was full of endeavour and energy but certainly not the force he has been in recent games. 6

Substitutes

Matt O'Riley (Hatate 69): Replaced Hatate when the points were safe and in the bag but sprayed a few good passes here and there. Set up Turnbull's free-kick goal.

Liel Abada (Maeda 69): Given a 20-minute cameo in place of Maeda and took one off the toes of Mooy and skied it high and wide.

Oh Hyeon-gyu (Kyogo 79): South Korean striker came on for the last 11 minutes.

David Turnbull (Mooy 79): The Scotland midfielder replaced Mooy for the last 10 minutes and drilled home the fourth in injury time.
