Celtic's double-winning season may be in the rear view mirror, but that doesn't stop Celtic fans savouring the highlights that paved the way to their Scottish Cup and league title triumph.

In a new feature published by Celtic TV, host Daylin Docherty relives the 2023/24 campaign in full, and pinpoints five standout games that determined Brendan Rodgers and his players' success over the last 10 or so months.

Every game over the course of any campaign is important in its own right, of course, but with the virtue of hindsight, it becomes easier to speculate on which matches were more significant to the overall success and why.

Still, given how many big games Celtic play per season, and how exciting the last campaign was over the course, whittling that down to just five is hardly an easy task.

And yet, it's difficult to argue with the matches Docherty has chosen here.

Here are the five standout games as chosen above:

September 3, 2023
Rangers… 0
Celtic… 1 (Kyogo 47)

February 24, 2024
Motherwell… 1 (Spittal 43)
Celtic… 3 (Idah 51, 94; Palma 96)

May 11, 2024
Celtic… 2 (O'Riley 35, Lundstram OG 38)
Rangers… 1 (Dessers 40)

May 15, 2024
Kilmarnock… 0
Celtic… 5 (Idah 5, Maeda 12, Forrest 35, O'Riley 51, 71)

May 25, 2024
Celtic… 1 (Idah 90)
Rangers… 0

I'd say it's pretty hard to argue with those as the five standout games for Celtic over the course of their double-winning campaign.

Important games such as December's Glasgow derby victory over Rangers, and the 3-3 draw at Ibrox would likely sit just outside of the top five - whereas the 3-0 Hearts victory at Celtic Park shortly after the latter was a scene-setter for what was still to come.
