Daizen Maeda's confident title party promise has delighted Celtic fans on the eve of their penultimate game of the campaign against Kilmarnock.

Brendan Rodgers and his players will make the short journey down the M77 to Rugby Park on Wednesday evening knowing they require just one point to officially become three-in-a-row winners of the Scottish Premiership.

There is a scenario where they could even clinch the title crown tonight without kicking a ball - but that would require Rangers to drop more points at home to Dundee.

Maeda - who forced John Lundstram into an own goal in the 2-1 derby victory on Saturday - was named in the SPFL's team of the week.

Quoting their post, he wrote on X: "We will be champions tomorrow!"

And supporters were loving his social media activity, as they interacted with his post.

One wrote: "You running down to Kilmarnock tomorrow as a per match warm-up?"

Another said: "We sleeping good tonight Daizen."

A third wrote: "Is it true that you can switch off the lights and get into bed before the room goes dark?"

Another said: "Or tonight brother!"

And a fifth commented: "Loving your positivity!"

Meanwhile, Rodgers has revealed he won't watch Rangers' match against Dundee tonight despite the Celtic title implication attached to the Scottish Premiership fixture.

The Parkhead boss admitted he will snub the Ibrox contest to watch the Premier League match between Tottenham and Manchester City instead.

Rodgers' admission comes even though a favourable result at Ibrox could see his Celtic side crowned champions tonight.

Rangers currently sit six points behind Celtic with two matches remaining this season meaning should Philippe Clement's side drop points then the title race will be mathematically over.

Failing that, Celtic will claim the title if they pick up one more point from their remaining two league matches.
