Moritz Jenz has reportedly Josip Juranovic out of the Celtic Park exit door.

The central defender, 23, had initially joined Celtic on a loan in the summer from French club FC Lorient. The Hoops had agreed on an option-to-buy clause but the player himself confirmed the club has this week decided to cut the loan short.

Jenz will return to his parent club with speculation mounting over his next destination after he was linked with a move to Bundesliga side FC Schalke.

He penned a heartfelt letter to the Celtic supporters and said: "Dear Celtic family, I’m sad to say that I’m leaving the club after a short time, it’s been for me a fantastic period at the club.

"I‘m very proud and honoured to have been a part of the Celtic Football Club. Like I said at the beginning of my time it was and it has been a dream. The fans of Celtic will always have a special place in my heart, they are kind, honest and passionate."

Celtic bolstered their squad yesterday with the arrival of Korean striker Oh Hyeon-gyu who joined Ange Postecoglou's Scottish champions on a five-year deal for a fee believed to be worth around £2.5million.

Celtic Way:

Postecoglou was delighted to land his man and said: "We are delighted to bring Oh to Celtic. Really importantly, I know that he had his heart set on joining us too and that his own perseverance has been crucial in making this deal happen, so his determination to join Celtic has been very clear.

With five days left in the January transfer window, Celtic could well be gearing themselves up for a busy period in terms of outgoings.

Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis's future is still the subject of major discussion with a proposed deal to join MLS outfit Atlanta United believed to be in the offing.

Who else might join the likes of Juranovic and Jenz by leaving the club in January? Is it the end of the Celtic road for Scottish Cup-winning goalkeeper Conor Hazard?

What about a homegrown talent like Stephen Welsh and do the likes of midfield trio James McCarthy, Oliver Abildgaard, and Yosuke Ideguchi have any kind of future in Paradise?
